Amanda, my beautiful bride, found me on Instagram. Gosh, am I glad she did! After chatting on the phone and hearing her sweet, excited voice, I KNEW we were going to create some serious pretty together! She and her fiance, Ryan, were looking for the perfect invitations featuring a venue painting and fluffy pink florals. Be still my heart! Not only that, they fell in love with the idea of having me come to Dallas to live paint their gorgeous wedding at the iconic White Sparrow Barn. What a dream! Take a little journey down memory lane as I give myself an excuse to look back at Amanda and Ryan’s White Sparrow Barn wedding invitations and live wedding painting! All images are by the insanely talented The Tarnos Photography.

The Custom Invitations

Amanda loved a previous White Sparrow Barn wedding invitation suite I had created. On it, I featured a hand painted motif of the exterior of the barn set at the bottom of a 3/4 wreath of florals and vines. For her invitation, we took inspiration from the florals her amazing florist Something Pretty Florals would be using, including fluffy pink peonies! Patterns of those hand painted florals was featured on the back of the main invitation card as well as the RSVP card. The front of the details card included a full length venue painting of the White Sparrow Barn, as well as a likeness of the classic Rolls Royce Amanda and Ryan would be leaving the venue in at the end of the evening, and their two pups who weren’t able to attend!

The Live Wedding Painting

The couple didn’t wish to include their or guest likenesses in their live wedding painting, which, I thought, was a pretty neat idea! They loved their venue so much they wanted a venue painting! But, of course, their two pups definitely had to be included in the painting since they weren’t able to attend the big day!

What a way to spend my first visit to Dallas! I can’t thank Amanda and Ryan enough for trusting me to be a part of their wedding planning journey from beginning to end. It was also neat to have their wedding featured in print and online by Brides of North Texas!
