I've been fortunate to call the greater Washington, DC area my home, where I've pursued my passion as a destination live wedding artist and coach for creatives.
My journey has led me to some incredible opportunities, including interviews and features in renowned publications such as Brides, Martha Stewart Weddings, Inside Weddings, and many others. Before diving into the world of weddings and creative coaching, I had a "past life" in arts administration and legislation, and I've always been driven by my desire to merge my expertise in creative strategy and arts entrepreneurship to empower fellow creatives to improve their businesses and achieve greater success.

While I'm passionate about many topics, these are my to-go speaking topics. Each one would be specifically customized for your attendees.
The art world teaches us a lot about unique approaches, styles, and concepts. But, for wedding professionals, developing your own signature flair goes beyond visuals and design. We live in a world bombarded with content yet still craving originality. Now, more than ever, it’s imperative to stand out from the crowd. Doing so consistently, interestingly, and, oftentimes, meaningfully generates more revenue and ensures your clients won’t help but trust the telling of their stories to anyone but you.
From dealing with difficult stakeholders to the frustration of having to constantly convey your value - there are a lot of challenges professionals working in the arts/humanities and events industries share. In this session, Brittany Branson of By Brittany Branson will share three real situations and key lessons she learned working in arts legislation and advocacy that can help you position your business for better success.
Niche vendors don’t just create…they carve markets. This session celebrates specialized wedding pros (a demographic often overlooked in the educational space) and reveals the strategic moves that boost profitability, amplify expertise, and ensure long-term resilience.
Attendees will leave with concrete examples and immediately usable strategies to borrow from niche pros, including:
1. Strategy > Style: how niche vendors structure decisions, pricing, and positioning around business goals, not just aesthetics.
2. The Ideal Client Myth: why working exclusively for one “perfect” client is often unsustainable, and how inclusive targeting increases bookings and revenue.
3. Teach to Book: how specialists build recognition by educating the market AND converting that awareness into pre-sold clients before the first meeting.
We all aspire to attract and work with clients who will give us opportunities to shine. However, our creative predecessors understood there was a more powerful kind of support: patronage. Though modern day patronage looks different than that of the Renaissance or Enlightenment, it still exists as a compelling and powerful way for creative business owners to cultivate meaningful connections with their audience, foster financial stability, and nurture their growth.
In this session, Brittany will use her background in arts legislation and advocacy to introduce attendees to the spirit of patronage, helping them to walk away with a better understanding of how they can use it to forge stronger bonds with their clients, make more money, and foster creative community.
Key takeaways for audience attendees:
* Patronage Then and Now: what has patronage meant and does mean for creatives? Attendees will walk away understanding a brief history of how the power of patronage has transferred from the elite to us.
* Generational Patronage: the audience will walk away with a better understanding of how current generations define patronage, and how this affects where they show up and pay up.
* Patronage As Community: beyond being a source for transactional cash, patronage can be a tool for fostering community. The audience will learn tips on how to leverage patronage as a means of ensuring their clients and supporters are seen and heard (and how this can positively affect their bottom line).
As event professionals, you’re often tasked with executing a marriage between what’s timeless and what’s trendy. For hundreds of years, art, too, has reflected that beautiful balance. This makes it the perfect muse for gatherings that are bound to leave a lasting impression.
Destination live wedding artist Brittany Branson will showcase some of the best and most creative ways event professionals are using the visual and performing arts to turn their events into living masterpieces.
Our industry tends to lead with style and trends. It’s an easy trap to fall into. As creatives, the world is constantly demanding content and results from you. Selling the visuals of your talent seems like a no brainer. Unfortunately, that blueprint often leads to the opposite: mediocre results and a lack of originality. In this session, Brittany will introduce attendees to a new formula for success - one that even the most right brained of creatives (like herself) can implement right away for measurable results.
Forget the “one perfect client” fairy tale. Brittany flips the script on wedding marketing, showing how over-focusing on a single ideal buyer can repel valuable clients and shrink revenue. In this fun and slightly contrarian session, attendees will:
* Decode how Millennials, Gen Z, and Baby Boomers differ in purchasing behavior, expectations, and communication styles (and how those differences shape vendor relationships)
* Learn the Hierarchy of Idealism, a pyramid model for mapping multiple buyer types so they can stop shunning excellent clients in pursuit of a mythical “perfect” customer
* Walk away with concrete scripts, pricing and packaging tweaks, and marketing moves to attract and retain a broader mix of clients, all while raising revenue and strengthening their creative community without diluting their brand
