I had been following The French Farmhouse Wedding Venue on Instagram for a while before receiving Jessica-Michelle’s inquiry! The property is a brand new elegant estate Texas wedding venue that opened in September 2020. It is nestled on 56-acres of beautiful oak trees, and features a covered bridge and 3-acre lake in the Mountain Springs Community on the edge of Lake Ray Roberts! With the owners’ love of design, antiques and everything French, they designed and built the venue with antique details from all over the world. You can imagine how excited I was when I was invited by the couple to capture their big day! The one-of-a-kind French-inspired venue was the perfect backdrop for Jessica-Michelle and Michael’s big day and their gorgeous live wedding painting.
I was hired by my Bride and her Mom. From the moment they started explaining the wedding to me, I knew it was going to be a real-life fairytale! The French Farmhouse Wedding Venue’s castle-like barn with baby blue accents complimented their beautiful Cinderella-inspired wedding details and colors perfectly! Jessica-Michelle picked out the most stunning ballgown with lace long-sleeves and a classic silk bottom featuring the most amazing train!
While chatting with Jessica-Michelle and her Mom, they were torn between a painting that captured the indoor first dance, or the outdoor ceremony. As is so typical of me, I proposed a painting composition that featured a bit of both! I proposed capturing the two lovebirds in a first dance pose, but outside with the backdrop of the darling French Farmhouse Wedding Venue behind them. Jessica-Michelle loved this!
As you scroll through these images beautifully captured by Brianne Johnson Photography, you’ll see that their final painting features Michael twirling Jessica-Michelle (for their first dance), but in front of the barn where their ceremony was held.
Not only was this day picture-perfect, but Jessica-Michelle and Michael were two of the sweetest humans! She had actually just graduated from nursing school and was missing her graduation the day of her wedding, but that didn’t stop the happy couple from smiling their way through the entire day. Their love and deep faith radiated through the venue! Every moment of their wedding day was perfect, from start to finish. I am so grateful I could be there to celebrate alongside them.
Congrats J+ M! May your marriage be even more beautiful than your wedding day!
